Hi anole fans, I have a male green alone, and a month ago he broke his toe. His toe was bleeding and next day it started to drying. I brought him to a vet but he told me he didn't deal with such small anilmals, so my anole couldn't get any help. After 3 weeks his toe stopped drying, but he haven't eaten well since then. I don't know if his lack of appetite was caused by this accident with his toe? By the way right now he doesn't have that toe, its dryed-out part has fallen down, and he won't eat at all. I don't know what to do with my anole, i like him so much, and i would be so happy if i could help him. So does anyone now what to do in this case? What could i do for my anole to bring his appetite back? I would be graetful for any help u could give me

Why not try mix some baby food (they seem to like apricot) with some water, get a dropper or childs medicine syringe, and slowly drip it on his nose, and hopefully he will lick it up. My first anole had a broken rib (the petshop owner did it trying to catch him), and this was the only way he would feed. Sadly he died.

Unfortuantely, my anole still doesn't want to eat. Whenever i try to drip the baby food-water mixture on his nose he runs away or sticks himself for the glass of the tank. I guess he's affraid of dripper or of the cold mixture... i don't know. I'm wondring how could you drip it on your Anole's nose. Anyway thanks for the advice

Last resort, i'd force feed him, gently hold him, then open his mouth (very carefully), and slowly drip it in.
